Welcome to the Carfield Farm Community Garden

Our garden is situated within the Heeley and District Allotment Site in the S8 area of Sheffield. We aim to provide a haven for wildlife, a beautiful site for community events and a space to relax and enjoy nature in. The site is divided into three areas. An orchard planted with various fruit trees including apple, pear and plum. A herb and raspberry area featuring our unusual golden raspberries along with hops and herbs in raised beds. Lastly a wildlife area towards the back of the site with a  woven willow hide from which to observe our wild inhabitants.

  • AGM

Our AGM is going to take place at the Heeley Institute on the 23rd March at 8pm. Come along and enjoy a talk from our guest speaker and hear about what we do. The Heeley Institute can be found on the corner of Hartley Street and Gleadless Road in Sheffield S2. More details to follow.

  • Raspberry Day

Our Raspberry Day is in July, come and pick raspberries and enjoy our site. This year we picked our unique golden coloured raspberries on the 17th, why not join us next year? Check back on this page in the spring when we usually confirm the harvesting date.

  • Apple Day

We have an Apple Day on Sunday the 23rd October from 11am until 2pm. Come along and crush apples with our traditional press and enjoy drinking the juice! An acoustic music group will accompany proceedings from 12:30, Apple-based homemade treats shall be available, donations much appreciated.
If you have apples that you'd like to bring along and have pressed, please bring them along.
